On the 21st June 2015, at the Ambassadors for Peace’s site in Rome, a “Family Festival” was held in collaboration between WFWP and FFPWU.
The morning consisted of a meeting with the title “The family’s role towards a multicultural society.” Where they spoke about diversity as well as the importance of parents and the education they can give to their children with regards to others. Lunch was served outside under a pergola, after which there were games organised by the youth.
WFWP Nepal reported back with these lovely slides about the food distribution program to orphaned children. This program has been sponsored by WFWP South London, UK. Blessie Dhakal from WFWP Nepal wrote the following:
"We are quite busy with school projects.
As you know, many schools were destroyed during the earthquake.
Now we are focusing our efforts on the children and schools.
I am very grateful for your help to the Nepalese people and children.
"On the occasion of International Children’s Day on June 1st, 2015, WFWP Tirana/Albania participated in two events in support of both Roma and orphaned children and co-sponsored gifts for them. In the morning we joined a festive kinder party at the premises of the Ombudsman Office, sponsored by that institution. A representative of the Office first greeted the Roma and orphaned children, which was followed by games, music and a beautiful banquet table with fruits and sweets.
