WFWP Italy teamed up with young members from the European voluntary service project group STF to cheer up the guests of a Nursing home. The theme was ‘You are important to God’.
This lovely activity took place place on 19 July 2014 in ‘Villa Cavalieri’ , reported by Elisabetta Nistri:
"WFWP Italy organized a voluntary project for the elderly residents in Villa Cavalieri, a nursing home owned and managed by the members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. Nine girls, members of the European voluntary project STF, from Korea, Sweden, England, Tunisia and Italy, visited the guests, and offered them some nice songs. Deborah Calì, the coordinator of the group, spoke about the reasons which motivate young people from different nations to live together and cooperate in various projects with the purpose to promote peace and welfare in society in the different nations which they visit.
She expressed how each of us is precious for God, and thanked all the participants for the sacrifices they made in their lives; she also spoke about the importance of “grandparents” in the family and in society.
The women leaders of the Seventh-day Adventist Church welcomed the girls with enthusiasm and appreciation; they also invited them to continue their cooperation in other structures and with other activities. Therefore, WFWP Youth in Rome will soon set to work for this cooperation. All the people attending the event received a copy of the magazine “Voci di Pace”, and the people in charge also were very happy to receive a copy of the autobiography of Rev. Moon, founder of WFWP."
