Middle East annual women leadership conference
A yearly Conference bringing together concerned women leaders coming from the Middle East and North Africa regions, Europe, and beyond. Participants include government leaders, NGO presidents, academics and social activists. Although peace issues are different for each country, the women participants always have a strong motivation to bring peace acknowledging the issues of their neighbouring countries. The workings of the Conference usually conclude in a Statement or Declaration to be taken to the UN Agencies and to the relevant Government authorities of the participants’ countries.
Sponsored by the Foreign Missions’ Office of WFWP Japan, this Conference has been held every year since 1997, in various countries of the Middle East and at the UN offices of Geneva and Vienna. It was forced to go online during the Covid pandemic.

Celebration of the International Women’s Day in Moscow.
On March 5, 2023 Women’s Federation for World peace in cooperation with Family Federation organised a Celebration of the International Women’s Day in Moscow.
It was held in cooperation with the district administration and many other NGOs. More than 150 people could partcipate in the event. The program contained speeches of prominent women (heads or representatives of different NGOs and social institutions), awards for outstanding women of the district and the Moscow city and a beautiful concert made by various children’s dancing and singing ensembles and professional poets and singers. It was meaningful that elder generation and children were doing their best to create the atmosphere of harmony and love together.
The main wish of all people is peace, protection and happiness of all people especially children.
We feel that such events are really needed in order to give hope to people in such a challenging period of our history.

IAFLP Inaguration
IAFLP affirms the unique and essential role that women leaders are called to play in bringing about a world of lasting peace. In its founding Resolution, the IAFLP declared it brings together 'women leaders from all national, racial and religious backgrounds and all sectors of society, together with those who have lived the responsibility of First Ladies in their nations, uniting in solidarity to respond to today’s challenges'. The loving and sacrificial leadership of women working together to empower our youth for goodness, to build cohesive communities and, with men, establish models of ethical and balanced leadership to guide them has never been more critical. The IAFLP Resolution stands up for the central role that women and mothers have played throughout human history and as decisive contributors to reconciliation, peacebuilding, reconstruction and development in the wider society and world. IAFLP is an association dedicated to creating a world that is interdependent, mutually prosperous and based on universally shared values.
