An annual conference bringing together concerned women leaders coming from the Middle East and North Africa regions, Europe and beyond. Participants include government leaders, NGO presidents, academics and social activists. Although peace issues are different for each country, the women participants are always strongly motivated to bring peace while acknowledging the issues of their neighbouring countries. The conference usually concludes in a statement or declaration to be taken to the UN agencies and to the relevant government authorities of the participants’ countries.

Sponsored by the Foreign Missions’ Office of WFWP Japan, this Conference has been held every year since 1997, in various countries of the Middle East and at the UN offices of Geneva and Vienna. It was held online during the Covid pandemic.
