On August 4th in Birmingham, had a beautiful Young Women's Speech Contest with around 70 people attending, many of them young people.
The theme was 'Youth Participation and Leadership : Peacemaking and Reconciliation'. We had four judges from different faith backgrounds, and 5 participants from South Sudan, Poland, India and Pakistan.
The winner, Natalia, will automatically take part in the National Final in London, and the others can re-apply again if they wish to.
Everybody did so well.
It takes real courage to stand up and speak publicly about one's values, and hopes for Peace.
