Women from a wide range of organisations, cultural traditions, and faith backgrounds gathered for a special evening celebrating the strength, compassion, and motherly love of women. Participants included representatives from Arab and Bosnian communities, integration organisations, Women’s Federation for World Peace Austria, Women’s Federation for World Peace Slovakia, and the ALLATRA society.
The gathering focused on recognising the important role women play as co-creators of society — as mothers, educators, caregivers, and leaders who shape the lives of children, families, and communities. Several leaders shared short reflections highlighting the responsibility and influence women carry in building harmonious and compassionate societies.
The evening was enriched with songs, instrumental music, and cultural performances that created a warm and joyful atmosphere. A traditional Thai dance became one of the highlights of the programme, bringing beauty, colour, and celebration to the event.
One speaker shared heartfelt reflections on the unique role of women in family and society:
“I sincerely thank you for the opportunity to be with you and to feel the atmosphere that we are creating right now. I have always deeply believed in the special role of women in family and society — their warmth, wisdom, and strength create the foundation of harmony. I believe in the creative power of women. Only a woman can create life. And if we look at the process of childbirth, it is a whole world with special conditions where new life begins and, thanks to a woman, comes into this world. It is also important to remember the careful responsibility of men — to give women a feeling of protection, calmness, confidence, and, most importantly, safety…”
The gathering concluded in a spirit of friendship, appreciation, and unity, reaffirming the essential contribution of women in nurturing peace and strengthening society across all cultural and religious boundaries.
