Dr. Jennifer Okeke, Chairperson and Vice President in the National Women’s Council of Ireland,
recently met with Amanda Toumanguelov and Masami Yasuda from the Women’s Federation for
World Peace (WFWP) Ireland. This initial meeting aimed to explore potential collaborations centred
on shared values and initiatives promoting women's empowerment and social justice.
The participants discussed WFWP Ireland's ongoing activities, which focus on uplifting women
through educational programmes, advocacy, and community engagement. Dr. Okeke outlined her role
in the National Women’s Council, emphasising its commitment to addressing issues such as gender
equality and social inclusion.
The primary objective of the meeting was to establish a foundation for joint activities that leverage
both organisations' strengths. By fostering collaboration, they aim to develop initiatives that align
with their mutual goals of enhancing women's roles in society and promoting peace. This meeting
represented a significant step towards building a partnership that could create meaningful impact
within the community.
