_____________
Powerful Women Seeking Peace:In the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, two remarkable women are shaping a path built on courage, dialogue, and nonviolence. Ms. Reem Al-Hajajra and Dr. Admi stand at the forefront of a growing alliance that unites Palestinian and Israeli voices in a shared quest for peace, justice, and safety for all families.
Ms. Reem Al-Hajajra grew up in Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem, raising four children under the shadow of fear. That fear became a catalyst for action. In 2021, she founded Women of the Sun, empowering Palestinian women and advocating for a nonviolent resolution to the conflict. Her leadership embodies resilience and a hopeful determination to change the status quo.
Dr. Admi, co-founder of Women Wage Peace, contributes a complementary perspective from Israel. The movement emerged from the 2014 Gaza war and champions peaceful resolution through dialogue, mobilization, and women’s active participation in negotiations. Her work underscores the critical role of women as negotiators and ambassadors of peace.
The Mother’s Call embodies their collaboration—a joint appeal urging leaders to halt violence and resume negotiations. The alliance has gained international recognition, including Nobel Prize nominations in 2025. In March 2026, they co-led the Barefoot Walk in Rome in support of The Mother’s Call.
