Ms. Reem Al-Hajajra grew up in Dheisheh refugee camp near Bethlehem, raising four children under the shadow of fear. That fear became a catalyst for action. In 2021, she founded Women of the Sun, empowering Palestinian women and advocating for a nonviolent resolution to the conflict. Her leadership embodies resilience and a hopeful determination to change the status quo.
Dr. Admi, co-founder of Women Wage Peace, contributes a complementary perspective from Israel. The movement emerged from the 2014 Gaza war and champions peaceful resolution through dialogue, mobilization, and women’s active participation in negotiations.
