WFWP Italy- HERSTORY with special guests Dr. Admi from Israel and Dr. Reem for Palestine both work together under the MOTHERS CALL

HERSTORY is a monthly series featuring inspiring women from Europe and the MENA region. This time, special guests Dr. Yael Admi and Dr. Reem Alhahajra shared their powerful stories and commitment to peace.

Dr. Reem Alhahajra, from the Dheisheh refugee camp in Bethlehem, founded Women of the Sun in 2021 to empower Palestinian women and promote a nonviolent end to conflict.

Dr. Yael Admi, co-founder of Women Wage Peace, was deeply shaped by personal family loss caused by war. Her experiences inspired her lifelong dedication to dialogue and reconciliation.

Together, their movements are united through The Mother’s Call, a joint appeal urging leaders to end violence and resume negotiations. They were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in 2025.

Their message is clear: women, especially mothers, must be included in peacebuilding and decision-making processes, in accordance with UN Resolution 1325.

Despite their pain, the audience felt their inner peace, wisdom, and strong determination to ensure that women’s voices are heard in resolving conflicts.
