WFWP Albania - Amplifying Women’s Voices Through Podcast Storytelling

Implemented by the Albanian Women’s Federation for World Peace (WFWP Albania) under the coordination of Anila Dedic (Prethi), this project was supported by the Reporting Diversity Network (RDN) and Albanian Women in Audiovisual (AWA). Its goal was to amplify the often-overlooked voices of divorced and widowed women in Albania, creating a safe space for them to share their experiences and challenge social stigma.

Through EchoPodcast, a digital media platform founded and managed by Dedic, the project produced a 10-episode podcast series distributed on YouTube, Instagram, and Facebook. The series featured personal stories from divorced and widowed women, expert insights on ethical storytelling, and reflections on key themes emerging from the discussions.

By combining authentic testimonies with professional perspectives, the initiative increased public awareness of the social and economic challenges faced by women while encouraging greater empathy, inclusion, and dialogue on gender equality and social protection in Albania.
