WFWP Austria - Meet & Greet: Building Peace Through Dialogue and Partnership

Created during the COVID-19 lockdown, WFWP's "Meet & Greet" Online Dialogue has grown into a vibrant platform that brings together women, men, and young people committed to peace. Through meaningful conversations and the sharing of experiences, best practices, and inspiring success stories, the initiative has helped foster lasting connections while overcoming the isolation of the pandemic.

The programme has also recognised the contributions of outstanding participants by presenting Ambassador of Peace awards, honouring individuals who actively advance the Sustainable Development Goals and promote peace in their communities. Today, the network includes more than 30 Ambassadors of Peace and has expanded through partnerships with numerous organisations recognised with WFWP's Global Peace Partnership Organization Award.

These collaborations have strengthened participation in WFWP activities at its Vienna headquarters, the United Nations, and international conferences, while also supporting cultural exchange and community engagement. Working closely with the Philippine Embassy in Vienna and Filipino diaspora organisations, WFWP continues to build bridges across cultures and communities through dialogue, partnership, and shared commitment to peace.
