WFWP Albania - Raising Awareness on Nanoplastics and Environmental Responsibility

On 4 June 2026, WFWP Albania, in cooperation with ALLATRA and W-CARP Tirana, organized an educational awareness session titled “Nanoplastics and Their Impact on Our Everyday Lives.” The event was based on the findings of the ALLATRA Global Research Center report, “Nanoplastics: A Systematic Risk Analysis for Human Health, Ecosystems, and the Environment.”

The session brought together around 30 young people and Peace Ambassadors to learn about the growing presence of nanoplastics in everyday products and their potential impact on human health and the environment. Presentations by Dr. Jan Kára and Mgr. Tatiana Kárová of the ALLATRA Global Research Center provided valuable research-based insights and encouraged participants to consider more sustainable and environmentally responsible choices.

Through engaging discussions and the exchange of ideas, participants explored the challenges of nanoplastic pollution and the importance of raising public awareness to support a healthier and more sustainable future.
