WFWP Finland - Celebrating Mother’s Day

On May 10 th , one day before Mother’s Day, 2025, WFWP Finland and AFAES organization,

Africans and African European Association, with the leadership of Fatima Usman arranged a

potluck meeting to celebrate mothers, a Mother’s Day celebration.

Round the big table there were a dozen ladies from many backgrounds. Everyone introduced

themselves and told some meaningful issues for them. Fatima Usman gave lots of praise for

mothers and those acting like mothers for others, like personnel at day-care etc. “You are

mother” , even not having their own children, she exclaimed with deep embrace.

Päivi Yoshizumi and Yoshiko Tanaka shared their experiences attending the grand opening of Cheonil Sanctum and other activities in Korea in April. Yoshiko was part of the 2000- member -choir, and she performed one of the songs the choir sang at International Peace Center during the celebration festival, and she also shared on her experiences singing with the choir.

Päivi concentrated on sharing on her experience attending the International Association of First Ladies for Peace meeting and the 33 rd anniversary of WFWP at Lotte hotel in Seoul, which were part of the World Summit Program.

All in all, there were lot of joy just to share together.
