WFWP of Russia organized a special concert to honor Elderly people Day bridging generations

together through music and kindness.:

On October 4 th 2025 during celebration of the International Elderly people’s Day, the hall of the

"Opeka" Elderly people’s House was filled with more than just music; it was filled with a special

warmth of hearts. WFWP of Russia held a charity concert that became a true joy and comfort for the

soul for its wise and respectful residents.

The heart of the celebration was the performance by the children’s singing and dancing ensemble

"Angels of Peace." Their performance, filled with light and kindness, resonated deeply with the

audience. Some of the grandmothers shared touching confessions. "We had been really looking forward

to your visit," they said. One elderly woman even said "I saw you all in my dream!" Those simple

words became the highest praise for the organizers and performers.

The concert quickly transformed from a mere performance into a heartfelt family program. The Elderly

people happily joined in, singing along to familiar melodies with the young artists. But the most

touching moment, symbolizing the bridge between generations, came from the youngest participant.

She is only 11 months old! The baby girl attended with her father and mother, who, holding her in their

arms, performed several beautiful songs. This scene was a living embodiment of family values and all-

encompassing love. It is also worth mentioning that the eldest grandmother who came to the concert

was 100 years old.

While songs were sung on stage, another beautiful tradition, fostered by the Women’s Federation, took

place in the audience: presenting handmade cards created by elementary school students from Moscow

schools. Those bright, sincere works of art, made with care by the children, brought particular delight

and positive emotions to the seniors.

This day was another powerful reminder of a simple but vital truth: elderly people need not only care

but also attention, communication, and the feeling of being part of a larger community. Their eyes

shone with immense gratitude and they had only one request, which they repeated again and again:

"Please, come and see us more often!
