On 10 July, we held our annual Young Women’s Speech Contest under the inspiring theme, “Courage in Action: Stories of Feminine Leadership and Its Relevance Now.”
Following encouraging words from two young women who participated in previous years, we welcomed five wonderful contestants, representing the UK, Congo, Nepal, Egypt, and Bosnia. Around 75 people gathered to support and celebrate the young women.
We were deeply moved by the sincerity, courage, and aspirations expressed in each speech. While our four experienced judges deliberated, we enjoyed an inspiring cultural programme featuring songs, poetry, and personal sharing.
The evening continued with the judges’ thoughtful feedback, followed by the presentation of awards and certificates to the participants. The atmosphere was filled with joy, warmth, and celebration.
Most importantly, the event left us with a genuine sense of hope for the future. Listening to the voices and visions of young women reminded us of the positive change that courageous and compassionate leadership can bring to our world.
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who contributed to making this special evening such a great success.
