WGWP Italy - Subregional Meeting

Subregional President Elisabetta Nistri invited the national presidents to a final meeting for the

current year. During the event, the latest International and European activities were reported,

including the opening of an orphanage in Rwanda and the planning of a conference at the European

Parliament in Brussels on 4 th March 2025. Elisabetta Nistri then focused on the objectives of WFWP

International for 2026, which remain the same as those for 2025, with a commitment to implement

even more projects. The goals are: WOMEN, PEACE AND SECURITY; WOMEN'S LEADERSHIP;

WOMEN FOR PEACE; CLIMATE ACTION AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY;

GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT; AND AID SERVICES. On this occasion, European President Mitty

Tohma provided some important advice and guidance. Then it was time to share local reports and

listen to some questions and answers that helped us better understand how to achieve our goals. The

meeting ended with a deep awareness of the important task we have set ourselves in building peace,

and with best wishes for the Christmas holiday.
