Malta spent their Mother’s Day this year in quite a different way

Please see this message and report from Myrabelle Corlett, WFWP Chairwoman Malta, about how they spent their Mother’s Day this year in quite a different way "Dear sisters and friends of WFWP worldwide, I wonder if you ever thought of spending Mother's Day in a different way than usual, investing your positive energy in giving back something to our universal parent - ' Mother Nature'. During this month, on the weekend of 10th and 11th May, being Mother's Day weekend, WFWP Malta was invited and participated in a weekend Clean-Up campaign organized by ''Let's Do It Malta''. Eight of our members joined the 1,000 strong volunteers from various NGOs that were spread all over the Islands of Malta and Gozo to clean up sites both on land and on the sea bed. The event kicked off with half an hour of Yoga at 9 am. Then everyone picked up garbage bags and gloves and started on our venture. Through this, Malta was connected to more than 20 other Mediterranean countries in a mass citizen engagement in national clean-up actions on a single weekend. Everyone participating was in high spirits and came prepared to give, The feeling of unity in action inspired in us a sense of joy and satisfaction that we could show our appreciation and contribute actively to the beauty of our island's natural heritage. Please find attached two pictures from the Clean-up event. Myrabelle Corlett Chairperson, WFWP Malta"
