WFWP UK/Scotland was asked to do an Origami workshop at Kulture Klub’s launch event. It took place on 14th March 2015 from 2 pm to 6 pm at Strathbrock community centre, Broxburn. Four of us from WFWP Scotland participated in this.
In the main hall of the community centre there were various stalls; homemade sweets, oriental dresses, accessories, Indian food, etc. Kulture Klub is organised by several young women who want to help youth through activities. There were performances of Indian drums and a lively Indian dance by a young couple; a group of young men played Scottish music with the bagpipes. The local MSP and councillor were there to talk to people. The event was open entry. Approximately 70 people participated. They will organise a summer school for children during the months of July and August. We will be asked to help them again.
