WFWP Albania - The Past is a Teacher, the Future is an Opportunity.

From August 13–15, 2025, the third stage of the competition “The Past is a Teacher, the Future a

Possibility” took place, consisting of online interviews with the selected participants. The

project aims to encourage young people to reflect on the past and the future while promoting creative

writing, critical thinking, dialogue, and active citizenship.

A total of 65 individuals applied, and 50 submitted their essays. From these, 30 candidates were

shortlisted and invited to online interviews, to evaluate their practical communication skills.

Everyone had 3 min. to introduce themselves and the main idea of their speech. Finally, 21

participants advanced to the semi-final stage.

The semi-final will be held on September 20, 2025, and will include a specialized training on

communication skills led by experts, preparing participants for the public presentation of their

work. At the end of this stage, 12 finalists will be selected to present their essays before the jury and

audience. This competition has become a meaningful platform for reflection, dialogue, and

personal growth, empowering youth to share their visions and inspire change.
