Driving Change Through Sustainable Innovation -Women’s Voices Series

This event was part of WFWP’s monthly “Women’s Voices” series, which aims to highlight the

stories of women across Europe and the MENA region, exploring their cultures, challenges, and

successes. The July session featured Gloria Rwakihembo, from Italy, a lecturer, speaker, and co-

founder of Mondo Internazionale APS, with deep expertise in sustainable innovation, circular

economy, and rural development.

Gloria shared her professional and academic journey, emphasizing the importance of inclusive

development, digital transformation in rural areas, and women’s leadership in innovation. With her

dynamic background in international cooperation and organizational development, she inspired

participants to embrace interdisciplinary approaches to solving global challenges.

She recounted how valuable her mother's example had been in shaping her life choices,

reminding us all of the important role mothers play in raising children through example, and

that she was motivated to dedicate herself to this organization by her desire to make an

impact, help others and build something beautiful with women.

The event concluded with an open discussion about potential collaboration between Gloria’s

organization (Mondo Internazionale APS) and WFWP, particularly in areas of joint advocacy and

youth engagement.
