Peace (WFWP) in support of ‘McMillan Cancer Care’
On October 4 th WFWP S.London held a coffee morning in support of the McMillan
Cancer Support charity.
A delightful group of ladies gathered, listening first to Welcoming Remarks and an
introduction to the values and work of the Women’s Federation for World Peace by
Dolores Read, chairlady of WFWP S. London. Next we learned about the
invaluable work of McMillan’s Cancer Support charity.
The programme continued with a delightful quiz and games that resulted in
harmonious and cheerful group discussions, despite the serious topic we were
meeting about.
We concluded with tasty refreshments, lovingly prepared. It encouraged us to stay,
share and deepen our friendships even more.
A total of £ 400.- was donated by friends present and online, which is appreciated
