Report September 2015 “HOW TO BUILD A MULTICULTURAL EUROPE” organized by the European Parliament Information Office in Italy.
Elisabetta Nistri, President of WFWP Italy, was invited to attend a conference organized by the European Parliament Information Office in Italy on the theme: “How to build a multicultural Europe”. The conference was held with the new OPEN SPACE technology, in order to listen to the suggestions of the audience and make the meeting more interactive.
The program started with greetings by Dr. Daniel Ractiffe, Director of the European Parliament Information Office in Italy, followed by Mr. Cesa and Mrs. Alessandra Mussolini. Everybody expressed their concern for the difficult situation involving many migrants who are trying to reach our shores or enter Europe through the European Eastern countries. Director Ractiffe expressed his desire to listen to the participants’ suggestions in order to build a MULTICULTURAL EUROPE.
The conference was attended by representatives of various religions and associations and many Italian young people interested or engaged in the area of integration and intercultural dialogue. Those who wished, could propose discussion topics and supervise the interest groups which would ensue. At the end of the works every group was asked to write their reports directly on the computer, because later it would be transmitted to all the Italian Members of the European Parliament, as well as to all the participants.
Elisabetta Nistri, President of WFWP introduced the Women’s Federation to the public and proposed the theme: “UPHOLDING GROWTH AND RESPECT FOR THE VALUES OF THE FAMILY, AS THE BASIC UNIT OF A PEACEFUL, MULTICULTURAL AND INTERRELIGIOUS SOCIETY”. She actively participated in the discussion group on the subject: RESPECT FOR HUMAN DIGNITY AND RIGHTS.Herein you can find attached the relative reports N. 6 and N. 16:
