The Nordic Women Mediators NWM, was formed in 2015 rooted in Resolution 1325 (UNSCR) and its objective to adress the underrepresentation of women in mediation and peacebuilding . NWM is a forum where national networks from Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden meet once a year discussing issues related to Women, Peace and Security and the implementation of UNSCR 1325. Once a month, in partnership with a women's organisation, Women of Hope, I do some craft activities with refugee women. It really helps them to feel their value, creating something together. On October 15th, around 40 of us had so much fun, making beautiful cards, which can be used for birthdays and other occasions. It is such a joyful experience, sharing our heart with one another. I always look forward to spending time with these wonderful women.
